Our Story
Danny and Teresa met in preschool and became fast friends. Teresa remembers chasing him around in games of tag, teasing him, and being boy crazy, which drove Danny nuts. Danny remembers it a little differently: she was basically his tiny bully. Whenever she pushed too far, he'd go find something better to do, or someone nicer. Then, inevitably, he'd come right back. Danny was either surrounded by people or happily off on his own. Teresa was a social butterfly and a bit of a nerd, always balancing her friends and her studies. Somehow, it worked.
Life eventually pulled them in different directions when Teresa moved away. They stayed on the edges of each other's worlds through social media, but years passed without a real conversation. Then Danny got bold. He remembered their birthdays were only a few days apart and sent Teresa a birthday message. A few days later, she sent one right back, and Danny was thrilled she'd remembered. Feeling lucky, he asked her out for a drink.
A couple of weeks later, they met up and it was like no time had passed. The night was full of jokes, gossip, ball-busting, and nonstop laughter. They spent the rest of that year catching up on their chaotic lives, sparing none of the gruesome details.
Danny knew pretty quickly what he wanted, and he wasn't exactly subtle about it. Teresa needed a little more time. He was her buddy, and she wasn't willing to risk losing her friend again. (She'd also tell you he still had some growing up to do.) So Danny waited.
A year later, Teresa was ready to date again, and Danny was right there. He took her out for steak and dancing, and the sparks weren't just figurative. Teresa's hair literally caught fire! Danny put it out and saved her life, which he'll happily remind you was a pretty strong first-date move.
The weeks that followed were a blur of laughter. Teresa felt truly seen and cared for again, and Danny finally had the girl he'd been waiting for. The last couple of years have been a whirlwind of blending lives, homes, and families. It hasn't always been easy, but they've built something worth every bit of it, and their boys will grow up in a home full of love.
